The National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association is a vibrant community that brings together graduates from diverse backgrounds, united by their common journey at NOUN. Our association is dedicated to fostering a strong sense of fellowship among alumni and contributing to the continued growth and success of the University.

Our vision is to engage the largest possible number of alumni with NOUN annually. We strive to achieve this by creating a compelling range of programs and services that not only keep our alumni connected with the University but also encourage meaningful connections among themselves.

Our Mission <

The mission of the NOUN Alumni Association is to develop and implement alumni programs that promote fellowship, contributing to the physical, moral, and academic growth of the University.

Delve into the core objectives that drive our association, from promoting the standards and prestige of the university to fostering unity, cooperation, and support for educational initiatives.

Objectives of NOUN Alumni Association

The aim of the NOUN Alumni Association can be achieved through the following objectives:

Promote the Standards and Prestige of the University: Uphold and enhance the reputation of the National Open University of Nigeria.

Encourage Relationships: Foster close relationships between the University Authorities, Staff, Students, Alumni, and the General Public.

Unity and Cooperation: Promote unity, cooperation, welfare, and the interests of alumni. Facilitate networking and communication through reunions, business and social functions, research programs, projects, publications, jobs, and career development activities.

Support to the University: Provide assistance to the University in times of need through both individual and collective efforts.

Support for Educational and Humanitarian Organizations: Extend assistance to educational and other non-profit humanitarian organizations.

Collaboration: Explore cooperation with organizations sharing similar aims and objectives within and outside the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Scholarship Scheme: Institute a scholarship scheme and provide financial assistance to needy but educationally outstanding students.

Support for Teaching and Scholarly Activities: Encourage members to individually support teaching and other scholarly activities within the University.

Database Management: Build and maintain reliable and up-to-date membership databases to enhance effective communication between NOUN and its Alumni.

Interactive Forum: Serve as a forum for members to interact and exchange ideas and contacts for social, professional, academic, and scientific purposes.

Promotion of Open and Distance Learning (ODL): Actively promote Open and Distance Learning in Nigeria and the Diaspora.

Asset Acquisition: Acquire assets, whether real, movable, or immovable, to further the Association's aims and objectives.

Organize Events: Arrange seminars, conferences, workshops, symposia, lectures, and similar activities to address common problems related to societal development.

Lawful Steps: Undertake all lawful, necessary, and conducive steps to achieve the ideals of the Association and contribute to the development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
